2024 Esther Buchwald Art & Design Scholarship Application coming September 2023!

In the meantime, you can start planning, talking with your Art/Graphic Design teachers and mentors. Ask them if they would write a letter of recommendation for you or help you with your portfolio. Here are some of the requirements that will be needed once the application opens up:

• A portfolio will need to be submitted in support of your application. 
  • Art/Visual Arts Education Major Applicant Portfolio - This portfolio will include:
    • 8.5 x 11 inch self-portrait graphite pencil drawing from life while looking at yourself in the mirror. 
    • 5 pieces of actual work (preferably different mediums) that display your strongest art or design.
• OR
  • Graphic Design Major Applicant Portfolio - This portfolio will include:
    • 8.5 x 11 inch poster design in any media with the topic of "Save the Environment."
    • 5 pieces of actual work (preferably different mediums) that display your strongest art or design.
• You must include one letter of recommendation from a person who has been influential in your
  pursuit of Art/Graphic Design.
